From the Remembrance Archive

Archiving Stillness: The Practice of Phiré

Informed by travel and observed locations, my work is characterised by controlled realism and the deliberate use of governing forms that shape how space is perceived.

In a transient world, my work functions as a deliberate visual archive, bringing storied places into closer view and drawing attention to the labour and care with which they are shaped and sustained.

Process

Each piece is constructed from a specific vantage point and deliberately stylised to embody focus and stillness.

Approach

Committed to material integrity, each hand-rendered original establishes a documented lineage and is produced using archival materials designed to endure for generations.

Archival Legacy

Original paintings made with archival materials, accompanied by documented provenance

Limited Edition Prints

Edition of 70 giclée prints per original, produced with archival materials.

The Remembrance Archive

In a fleeting world, cities change faster than they can be remembered. Bridges are rebuilt, streets disappear, and familiar structures are altered within a generation. Time, climate, and the quiet pressures of the environment continue to reshape the built world.

What appears permanent today may be gone or altered beyond recognition within a moment or a few decades.

Some of the works presented here form part of The Remembrance Archive, an ongoing project documenting the built frameworks of our time before they pass from view.

Within the archive are paintings created through travel and careful observation, forming a growing visual record of places shaped by human labour and care.

Acquire or Commission a Work
