Archiving Stillness

The Practice of Phiré

My practice is a study of stewardship, rooted in gratitude for the creative capacity entrusted to us to inhabit the world with care.

In a world of constant motion, my work offers a quiet pause, with each piece stylised to embody stillness.

Process

Each original is developed from graphite drawings and resolved from a deliberate vantage point.

Stewardship

Committed to material integrity, each work bears a documented lineage and is produced using archival materials intended to endure for generations.

Archival Legacy

One-of-a-kind original paintings with archival museum-grade materials.

Designed to endure for 100+ years for gouache, and 500+ years for oils.

Each medium is selected to best achieve the specific essence and stillness of the subject.

Print Editions

Selected works are available as museum-quality giclée prints.

Earlier collections were issued as limited editions and remain closed once fully placed.

Current and forthcoming works are offered as open editions, produced to archival standards on Hahnemühle® Photo Rag 308gsm 100% cotton paper or premium canvas using archival pigment inks.

Commissions

A limited number of bespoke works are accepted each year.

These are private, one-of-a-kind works based on places or histories of personal significance, created exclusively for you and never reproduced.
